Reasons I Couldn't Practice This Week

Music teachers everywhere have always faced the age-old problem—students giving the same excuses every week for why they didn’t practice. Now, hear us out, we’re sure you really were busy, but do you know how many other students have told us that today alone?


To cure this problem, we’ve created a new strategy:
If you didn’t practice, you have to tell us a funny fictional story of why not.

So far in the last two weeks we’ve had students go through some truly wild experiences, so we thought it only fair to share a few of them.

He got sooo hungry while waiting for dinner and thought his piano looked like a block of chocolate... The rest is history.

She was busy reading a really interesting book on the toilet while her little brother smashed her violin to pieces. Thankfully the tooth fairy fixed it up and paid her ten dollars.

Guinea-pigs took over the town and stole his guitar and he had to learn how to speak Mandarin so he could negotiate with them for the return of his guitar. In the end, he gave them ten thousand carrots and they returned his guitar to him and promised to leave him alone.

There's simply no knowing what will happen to our students and their poor instruments next. We wish them all the best!
